a ppearance ✦ Neptune's appearance is fantastical in every sense--after all, she's a blue wolf. The majority of her fur is a somewhat unsaturated shade of blue. It's highlighted by a baby blue, which lines her face in a few sparse spots: the tip of her maw, under her eyes, her brows, the ends of her ears. Her underbelly is also this color, somewhat speckled over her chest, leading to a sort of V-shape at her neck. It's also found on her back legs, which, along with a light sort of navy, form a tiger stripe pattern at her knees, while the rest of her black legs are the same navy. Her forelegs have long light indigo socks with orange paws rimmed with navy. Oh, that's another thing--the orange. Vibrant on her fur, standing out from the blue. Quite noticeably, it forms a sort of "W" shape on her forehead, which might just represent the trident of the Roman god for which she is named. Her back has a small montage of navy, baby blue, and orange, while her tail is mainly indigo, striped with navy and orange.
Her eyes are quite unique, being that the scleras are orange, not just any usual white. The irises are a pretty shade of turquoise. Her eyes are large, giving her an innocent, somewhat pup-like look.
She's a petite wolf, much smaller than average. She has a light, somewhat fragile build, making her an excellent runner but a poor fighter. Her fur is very sleek, glossy and short. Usually, a Cassiopeian's coat would be thicker, but she was born outside of the pack.
p ower ✦ Those who see Neptune's power in action might say, very simply, that she has control over water. However, that's not completely right. It's more like... the ability to intensify water. Her influence upon water is like that of the moon upon the tides. And, like the moon, she has control over tides. Positioned at a body of water, be it the ocean or a lake or a river or otherwise, with concentration, she can cause the water to precede, having it move towards her and swell, or recede, having it flow back and shrink.
But it's not just controlling tides; she has a similar water-intensifying on loose water, such as raindrops or waterfalls or even water vapor. If she concentrates on a raincloud that hasn't rained yet, she can have a preceding affect by making it start to rain, or a receding affect by causing it to shrink. If it's already raining, preceding will cause it to rain harder, and receding will cause the rain to lessen. However, this only works in a specific area around her; of course she's not strong enough to change the rain patterns of the whole land.
She can precede waterfalls by making their flow larger, as if there has just been a heavy rain, or recede them by making their flow smaller, as if the rains haven't come for a long while.
As far as water vapor goes, she has that raincloud affect and can also control humidity in a specific area around her by preceding water vapor (thus making it more humid) or receding water vapor (thus making it less humid.)
Never has she been strong enough to turn her tides into a flood, but perhaps if she is forced over her limit, it could be possible. She can precede or recede through concentration, but the water around her may automatically warp without her doing depending on her mood. Generally, if she is angry, the water precedes and swells, and if she is sad, it recedes and shrinks.

p ersonality ✦ In general, Neptune is a very mild-mannered wolf. She doesn't get in the way of others and minds her superiors. She displays the positive outlook that a good Cassiopeian should. She's a respectful little wolf, paying heed to both her packmates and the world around her. She feels that the world is wonderful; every new day is a new start, a new beginning. She's just an optimist, really, usually cheery, greeting her packmates with smiles.
However, there is a flip side to her happiness. Neptune is very bad at controlling her emotions. In other words, she's sensitive. Touch a soft spot, and she won't be able to stop herself from crying. Make her angry, and she won't talk to you for the rest of the day. It's not that she bears grudges, it's juts that she resents anyone who spoils her happines--with a vengeance.
She shies away from fights whenever possible, whether verbal or physical. Generally, she's not too bold, but she'll step in if she feels harm is coming to those who are close to her. She's very loyal to her friends but quieter around wolves she don't know. Occasionally, this quietness makes her seem rude or stuck up, despite the fact that she's usually polite.
It's not exactly that she's shy, just a bit more quiet in larger crowds. But catch her with friends or get on her bad side, she can reveal herself to be quite spunky and loud.

h istory ✦ She was born outside of the Cassiopeia: her family, made entirely of loners with no connection to the packs, resided in swamplands, near the ocean. She lived here around the time she was a yearling but was forced out of the area when her family was attacked by an unruly band of loners. As far as she knows (and tells herself), they were not killed; they were just separated, and maybe they'll find each other some day.
A yearling all alone in a big, unfriendly world was a sitting duck; Neptune decided to find refuge by joining a pack. She traveled around the Orion-Andromeda border but found neither of the packs to her liking. Eventually, she came to the Cassiopeia and found them instantly to her liking. The wolves were kind and welcoming, and she quickly took to their belief system, accepting Dolphin as her totem.
