This is the moment you've all been waiting for, folks! Thanks to all five of you who entered, you're all winners in our hearts just for taking the effort to send in an app. We had a good time reading through all of them, and it was, indeed, difficult to make our final decisions (we had little debates going on in the staff board over there.) In the end, we eighted a great part of our decision on the character. We looked for uniqueness and a wolf that we felt was most up to par with Cepheus standards. But, as I said, everyone's a winner. Although, unfortunately, we could pick only one admiral, we decided that everyone would receive a fairly high rank in the Cepheus just for trying.

SO. -ahem- WITHOUT FURTHER ADO...

* So that Nyth gets her deserved spot and none of the original 2nd-placers have to move down, we have a compromise! Cepheus has three captains. It's a bit of a far stretch, I know, from our original conception of the captains (they were supposed to be ordinary betas, a mated pair.) However, we're making this a special circumstance IC. Here's how it works RP-wise:

Cepheus chooses its high ranking wolves through a big ol' bloodbath. Contestants fight, the winner(s) get the rank(s). If a winner has a mate, the mate gets the spot along with the winner, leading to two admirals or captains. If the winner has no mate, the second spot stays open for if/when he/she does get a mate.

However, this case was special. There was a tie. The three finalists--Triple Eight, Lucifer, and Fenrir--were equally matched. The battle went on until it seemed the only way it would end would be if one of the wolves died from exhaustion. For this reason, it was called off and declared a three-way tie. Cepheus would have three captains, who, after Rowtag, had proven themselves to be the strongest wolves in the pack.

The problem is, something like this happens only once in a blue moon. The Cepheus haven't had three captains in centuries. It's turned into the latest hot topic inside the pack. Will there be competition inside the higher workings of the pack, or will the Cepheus's traditional camaraderie pull through?
