It's a battle out there . . .
[/blockquote][/blockquote]Time. For many it seemed to speed by like a dragon's path, for others it crawled along like a laden herdbeast. And in a blink of an eye, man was brought onto Pern, where he stood beside mighty creatures named 'dragons.'
So many Turns have gone by since that moment. Jumping to the creation of Crom Weyr, the daughter Weyr of long standing Daiya Weyr. Led for the first several Turns by the strong Lilia and her Amethyst Panitath, with their ever faithful T'lyn and Bronze Oranith behind them, this young Weyr made steps toward it's future at giant leaps. Though, times are tough and many heartaches were felt during the long reign of Lilia and Panitath.
Hard Thread Fall took its toll on both Weyrs. After the death of long standing Senior Weyrwoman Corspa and Gold Kasith, mother to most dragons in Crom Weyr, and her mate D'ris and his Bronze Yrith, father to most, the heavy Thread Fall was bound to take its tool. Many were lost, among them Finya of Gold Sorellith, Amethyst Panitath who was clipped by Thread Fall and later died due to infection that was unseen. Lilia later followed her dragon, leaving T'lyn to stand alone. but not for long.
Luckily, Lilia had been training a young Amethystrider to take her place, Aisa of Lyeith. Once ready to Rise once more, Lyeith did, securing her position as Senior Queen and Aisa's as Senior Weyrwoman, at which time T'lyn stepped down, allowing other males to have hopes of becoming Crom's next Weyrleader.
Though, with the ascension of Crom Weyr, Daiya Weyr has fallen. Once so proud and beautiful under Corspa and Finya, it has been passed from hand to hand of several Weyrwoman, each worse than the last. After so many Turns, Aisa began returning to Daiya Weyr, as most Weyrfolk, Holdfolk, and Dragonfolk had moved over to Crom Weyr after the last two Weyrwoman. Now the young Weyrwoman is fighting against nature to reclaim Daiya Weyr. With the fight, comes the fight for a strong, good Weyrwoman, one she has now taken upon herself to find. With, of course, the aid of Lyeith.
Yet, even more dismay has fallen, as Aisa and T'lyn have noticed a slight decline in the, once over populating, normal Gold, Bronze, Brown, Blue, and Green dragons along Crom's ranks. When asked, Lyeith could only give that she had felt a shift within her and believes that the original five colors will began to slowly slip away until they are completely gone. With such alarming news, now it's a race to protect the future of Crom Weyr, Daiya Weyr, and dragonkind as they know it.
